MAISON PROOF
The House of Acknowledgment
Est. MMXXVI
Some things are not bought.
They are declared.
The House
A sum can be spent on almost anything. Here it is spent on saying that someone mattered — and the saying is what remains.
Maison Proof keeps a register of acknowledgments. Nothing is transferred to the person acknowledged. Nothing is redeemed. The expenditure is the gesture, and the record is what survives it.
The House issues a certificate as the artifact of that record, and holds the entry under a serial that does not change.
I · The Declaration
One declaration.
Two certificates. One record.
The giver commissions it
A certificate is issued in your name, bearing the occasion, the edition and the words you chose.
The acknowledged receives its match
Where the declaration is to be delivered, a matching certificate is issued to them under the same serial.
The House records it
A single entry, neutral and unaltered, which either party may consult by its number.
In Memoriam is the exception. Nothing is delivered.
II · The Document
The document the House issues.

III · The Occasion
Six reasons the House recognises.
The occasion is recorded alongside the declaration and appears on both certificates.
Gratitude
For what was given, and never properly returned.
Respect
For standing that words alone do not quite carry.
Regret
For what should have been said, or done, differently.
Trust
For confidence placed, and confidence kept.
Congratulation
For an achievement that deserves more than applause.
In Memoriam
For those no longer here to receive it.
Some acknowledgments are not meant to be delivered. Where the person is no longer living, nothing is sent. The declaration is entered in their name, and the certificate is issued to you alone.
IV · The Register
Every declaration is entered once.
The entry carries a serial that does not change. It is the part of a declaration that outlasts everyone involved.
Find your declaration
Every issued certificate leads back to its entry in the Register. Scan the mark on the certificate with a phone camera, or enter its serial.

Verification. Each issued certificate carries its serial and a mark resolving to its entry at maisonproof.com/r/. The serial names the certificate; the mark opens the entry. Verification returns the occasion, the edition and the issue status held by the House. The entries above are illustrative and resolve to nothing.
Disclosure. The giver elects to appear publicly, privately or anonymously. Recipients appear by initials unless fuller disclosure is agreed by both parties.
V · The Editions
Four editions of the House.
Each carries the same certificate, the same register entry and the same verification. What changes is the weight.
Bronze
€10,000
A declaration made plainly, and meant. It is entered, and it stays entered. Most acknowledgments the House receives are of this kind.
Silver
€25,000
A declaration with weight behind it. The sum is no longer incidental to the words.
Gold
€50,000
A declaration that will not be mistaken for a gesture of convenience.
Platinum
€100,000
Said once.
Declarations beyond the four editions are received by private appointment.
VI · In the hand of the House
Issued twice. Kept once.
Each acknowledgment is issued twice — once to the one who gives it, once to the one it names — and kept, always, in the registry of the House.
